“ This was a random find, nonetheless totally worth it. It's just beautifully ticked away. I walked in and was in total awe. Loved the homey comfy feel, especially the booths towards the back. It was beautifully decorated as it was the Christmas time, it was beautiful. Food was amazing, the whole ambiance was amazing, service was amazing! Can't wait to go again. ”
“ We happened to be in the Midtown West area and were looking for a spot to grab a drink. As per usual, I pulled up Yelp and checked out my handy bookmark list for something I had been eager to try, and I came across The Parlour Room. We decided to head over there and were able to grab the last seat at their completely packed bar. Also, even though there were several open tables, the hostess noted that they were all reserved, which was confirmed by tiny plaques on each of those tables. The sprawling place looked like a historical library, with its high ceilings and walls lined with bookcases. There was also a massive crystal chandelier over the bar. There was an air of class and elegance I would have never expected in that part of town. It was a truly stunning place! We were only grabbing one quick round at the bar, and I ordered their frothy version of an Espresso Martini, which included vodka, stout syrup, espresso liqueur, and cold brew. I always prefer when a bar uses real coffee in their renditions of that drink, and this one was great! The stout syrup was also an interesting bonus that added an extra depth of flavor. The Parlour Room was a true gem in the area that I will definitely keep in the back of my mind when in need of a cocktail spot in that neighborhood. ”
“ Visited here with my wife in January 2025 during a trip to NYC. The Parlour Room appeared moody with a library-esque vibe to it, something that seemed fun and different from other bars in the area. We were greeted happily and used the complimentary coat check upon entry and were given a numbered tag to receive our coats after the meal. Seated almost immediately as we had a reservation booked. The host/manager was very friendly upon entry. We were seated very quickly and had a quick gander at the menu before ordering. I ordered a Parlour Room burger with fries and my wife ordered the Caesar salad with salmon. We got an order of warmed crab dip to share. I also ordered a cocktail and my wife ordered a Riesling. While ordering was quick, my wife and I both noticed that our waitress did not seem friendly or warm by any means, as she was somewhat short with her answers. Not quite rude, but it was quite obvious she would have rather been anywhere else tonight. Nonetheless, we ordered and enjoyed the scenery and conversation. The crab dip came out quickly and was very good! It's no Pappadeaux crab dip, but it certainly tried its best and was more than enjoyable. 8/10 on the dip. My wife's Caesar salad and salmon were brought alongside the crab dip. She said it was pretty good, not better than Keen's down the street, but respectable for the price point. Unfortunately, my food did not come out alongside her own food. I waited probably about 45 minutes, ordering another drink, finishing that one, and waiting for my wife to finish her own meal before I had enough and asked the manager for an update on my entree. He ran off to investigate. He returned roughly 5-10 minutes later and shared with me that our waitress had forgot to enter in my entree to the POS system and added it later on after eventually remembering to do so, resulting it to be scheduled to be brought out after another party of 14 dining at The Parlour Room. Hence, the wait. He profusely apologized for the mixup, stated the order would be brought out ASAP, and even offered a complimentary dessert as an apology, which we accepted. We got Creme Brûlée, which was quite delicious! Better than Keens' crème brûlée down the street. Also, the burger was aight, but the French fries were honestly some of my favorite that I've ever had. Very crispy and crunchy on the outside, but not soggy, overcooked, or over/under-seasoned. I did not see our waitress around the restaurant at all after the mixup. Overall, good food, great drinks, moody and mysterious vibes, and great management. This place is worth trying out if only to experience the setting while enjoying a few cocktails or whiskey tastings. 4/5. ”
“ This is a hidden gem in every single way. 1. The furniture is amazing - whether a chill get together or a 3rd date, it just adds fun, classy, and relaxing vibes in one. 2. The decorations make this place extra exciting. 3. Amazing cocktails, what you expect from New York awesomeness. 4. From bites to salads, quality gastro pub fare Two minor quibbles with this place. 1. Our staff was friendly and fun, but I felt they were overly attentive - pressuring us to order more than we already did. 2. Mocktail prices were above average for NYC. ”
“ If you're looking for an aesthetic bar, with great ambiance, food, and service, definitely check this place out! I was mesmerized the second I stepped in, feeling cozy, warm, as if I just entered a library in a cabin in the woods! The decor inside is amazing. As for the food, we tried a couple of the appetizers and I had the burger as well. The burger was super moist, flavorful and the bread was not soggy. The crab dip was also great! This is a great spot for a date ”
“ Came on a Saturday night as a party of 6. We were seated quickly. It was quite packed but the decor inside is cozy and festive. The interior itself is spacious with high ceilings. We got the arancini and the oysters as apps. Both were delicious! Arancini had a strong truffle flavor. They were rich and creamy. The oysters were super fresh. I got the gnocchi as an entree. They were the perfect texture--not too chewy. I would have liked a thicker sauce on them but they were still yummy. The dish is supposed to be made with prosciutto but it came with just one tiny piece on the side :( but it did have plenty of mushrooms. Our entrees took about an hour to come out but they were super busy that night. ”
“ Well, I love stumbling on a hidden place that's delicious especially when you're tired and hungry! The service here was good, very friendly staff, attentive. Flavorful chicken and burger, drinks were perfect and the environment was perfectly festive and a good vibe in general. ”
“ Stopped by here for cocktails. Bar was open seating but pretty busy with it being a Saturday night. We ended up getting seats and tried a couple different cocktails, the Gatsby Royale which reminded me of a French 75. The Espresso Martini was good. My friend said the Whiskey Sour was one of the best she'd ever had! ”
“ Was easy to make a reservation, and so glad we did. This place was packed, even for a 6pm reservation on a Wednesday. The ambiance is amazing. Exactly how you'd expect a whiskey Parlour room to be like. Wall full of whiskeys, and cute tables and couches. Not great for large groups, but definitely good for a date or few friends. Service was great. Very friendly and attentive. Drinks came out pretty quickly and were delicious. We shared a bunch of the small plates, but the tataki and meatballs were the favs. Would definitely come back to try other dishes and drinks. ”
